The Use of Siblings....

My older Sis is home right now.
Older siblings are great things you know. My sister taught me a ton of things.... like how to mispronounce the word piano. My sister also taught me my love for poetry. In fact, she taught me my first poem. I still know it (I can recite it in my sleep), though my sister claims I misquote it....
it goes like this...

One bright day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight,
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot at each other,
The deaf police man heard the noise,
And he shot at the two dead boys,
If you do not believe that this lie is true,
Go ask the blind man, he saw it too.

Okay.... well, even if my sister doesn't have that much taste in poems.... I'm still convinced that I do. So I'm going to be using this blog to post my poetry. And I still love her, despite the odd poem that she so fervently drilled into my brain.

I am not much of a poem person but that is one of the few poems worth memorizing! Those memorizations skills certainly must come in handy for somethig.
