How can I keep from Singing?

Perhaps the most poignant truth about suffering is that the One who cares about us the most is not the One who we turn to first. He never forces us to lay it at His feet. He never grabs that throbbing, bruised, and bleeding heart from us. What does God do?
God laughs (Psalm 2:4). I always wondered what makes God laugh. Will I ever hear God laugh? What does it sound like when God laughs? Do I ever make God laugh?
God rejoices over me (Zephaniah 3:17). Even on those lonely nights when nobody cares about me, God is rejoicing over me. When I've failed so miserably that I don't even want to try again, God is rejoicing over me. He more than rejoices He TAKES GREAT DELIGHT. He delights in me when I don't even think there's an ounce of anything to delight in.
He works all things together for good to those that love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). I love the last part of that verse. It bathes my soul as I reflect upon not only His promise but who He promised it to. He promised it someone specific. He promised it to those that are His.
And the Eternal God is your Refuge and underneath are the Everlasting Arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy before you, and shall say, Destroy them. I have a beautiful image before me of God always being there as my Refuge. But even more than that, underneath are the Everlasting Arms. Even when I falter the Everlasting Arms are there to catch me.
And that's just a tad bit of who my God is. In the words of one of our brothers imprisoned and in bonds for Christ's sake, "Don't tell God you have big problems. Tell your problems you have a big God."

My God is Holding me,
Leah

That was very encouraging to me, thank you. I love that quote at the end.
