There are no areas of safety. There is only God. Try as we may we can not create or replicate comfort, security or safety. Yes, I may be hurt, wounded, torn, broken, perhaps even killed. But if safety and calm was not a part of God's will for me, would I really want it? The question is no longer how can I protect myself from hurt and harm, but how can I sacrifice myself on the altar of serving Him?
