Shadrach, Meshach, and Obednego left the final story to God. They knew that God could save them but ultimately their heart message was even if He doesn't we wouldn't retrace any steps, we wouldn't rewrite any lines. We would still serve Him just the same.
Ultimately they sought God's face not His hand. It didn't matter what God did or didn't give them.
